TRUE VALUE
AND A.D. MOYER SPONSOR RACE NIGHT
Bechtelsville, PA – The
sound of air wrenches chattering, race engines screaming & the
scent of burnt fuel filled the summer nights air
at Grandview Speedway as True Value, A.D. Moyer Lumber
and other area True Value stores sponsored race night
at the local track.
A large portion of True
Values 2000 marketing campaign has been dedicated
to Nascar and Iroc racing on both the national and
local levels according to company officials. Earlier
this spring True Value and A.D. Moyer Lumber donated
dozens of gallons of paint to Grandview Speedway
as part of the sponsorship leading up to the race
night.
True Values presence at the track was certainly not understated as True Value
banners flapped in the breeze, trucks circled the track flanking the pace car,
and the True Value tractor and trailer housing a Mark Martin Iroc car was open
to the public.
In addition to being able
to tour the truck for free and see how True Value
and their Master Mechanic tool line is involved in
racing, participants could take their chance at changing
a tire on the Iroc car. Each contestant dawned safety
glasses and gripped the air wrench as the digital
clock atop the car ticked away, hoping to get their
name posted on the leader board.
Individuals who toured
the True Value Iroc truck received discount coupons
to be used at their local area True Value store.
In addition, many lucky race fans from the near sellout
crowd went home with gift certificates and other
prizes which were awarded throughout the race night
by drawing admission ticket numbers.
Bill Mckee, hardware manager
at A.D. Moyer Lumber in Pottstown was the official
starter of one of the nights modified events, waving
the green flag to start the race. In addition, Bill
spent the entire evening promoting A.D. Moyer and
True Value by manning the True Value truck and handing
out literature among other responsibilities.
“A.D. Moyer is excited
to be a part of the True Value team and excited to
see all that True Value is doing in their marketing
campaign including Nascar and Iroc sponsorships” Mckee
said.
According to A.D. Moyer's
Director of marketing their company was well represented
at the race by both employees and clients using the
60 track tickets that A.D. Moyer issued. |
