Outside Sales Representative

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location(s): Bethlehem
Hours: 7:00-4:30, (possibly every other Saturday in store 7:00-12:00)

Summary: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for finding sales opportunities and increasing sales with local contractors. Outside Sales will work to grow the business by contacting customers, seeking new customers, making calls, visiting job sites. This position is expected to have excellent communication skills and follow through on commitments. Inside counter sales will also be a portion of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Create new Customer Relationships 
• Maintain strong relationship and service for existing customers 
• Sell Lumber and Building Materials
• Create materials estimates 
• Read blueprints 
• Travel to job sites 
• Build strong Vendor relationships 
• Load and unload lumber and building materials 
• Work with sales and management to create and maintain best practices
• Follow up with customers to ensure projects are taken care of timely and efficiently
• Handle customer sales at the retail store.
• Meet twice monthly with management to review sales call progress

Inside Sales Representative / Estimator - Millwork Division

Summary: The Inside Sales Representative/Estimator is required to assist customer with orders by analyzing blueprints, specifications, bid proposals, and other documentation to provide accurate and timely cost of materials and labor estimates. Maintain bid files; identify and communicate potential problems with plans, design requirements, product specs, or project conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist customers by taking orders and accommodating special orders.
• Ensure customer order accuracy by working closely with purchasing to verify order specifications before finalizing order with vendor
• Enters orders into the computer system.
• Build customer rapport.
• On occasion take accurate measurements for installation of products such as doors, window casings, and baseboards.
• Provides customers with value-added solutions/products. 
• Creatively solve problems to achieve sales and customer objectives.
• Assists customers in loading their product into their vehicle. 
• Learning and maintaining knowledge on products available.
• Present a neat and professional image
• Assist in keeping facility secure
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
• Seasonal Requirement: Assist with snow removal
• Other duties may be assigned.
